So I had my follow up angiogram this morning, got myself worked up over nothing really! The initial anaesthetic was the usual 'sharp sting' but after that I didn't feel much at all. The hospital staff were great at distracting me (I think they got the feeling I was dreading it) and put me at ease.Got to take it easy for the next few days. My AVM has healed nicely, just a problem with the blood pressure balance between the left and right sides of my brain - which the surgeon is going to decide what the next course of action is.
Angiogram follow up.: So I had my follow up... - Headway
Angiogram follow up.
It'll be a good feeling to finally have this behind you. However much people try to reassure you, the only thing which works is getting it out of the way !
I'm so glad you found it straightforward and not at all as scary as you anticipated. xx
Hey that's great that the surgery went well! My AVM was a bit too big to cut out so I've had gamma-knife surgery (2 years ago).
Hi trelfy, glad it went well. K
That's great to hear. So happy it went so well.
I have a question if you don't mind. When you write about the AVM healing is that where it bleed. I'm trying to make questions for my doctors appointment after my Angioplasty this coming Monday. Thanks and I am so happy it went swimmingly for you!
Hugs - Niyani
