Leg pain after Subarachnoid hemorrhage

HiOut of the blue 10 days ago I had what I now know is called a Thunder Clap headache

Admitted quickly as an emergency CT scans showed a small bleed

Further tests including a Cerebral Angiogram with contrast confirmed there were no Aneurysms or any thing else wrong & concluded whatever caused it destroyed itself in the process. Was discharged after 3 days with no physical effects apart from minor headaches & fatigue & tiredness.

On day 6 (3 days after the femerol artery Angiogram) I developed lower back pain & pain in ham strings back of both thighs. Feels muscular. Called hospital & they said it would be blood draining from the bleed & would pass. Its now day 10 post bleed & 5 days of leg aches. Is this connected to the Actual bleed or Angiogram. Its not getting any better & eases when I stretch or move around.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I had terrible back and leg pain a couple of days after my TBI, the doctor said it was due to the damage to my brain and to take painkillers and it should eventually stop. It did but was extremely painful for a few days. Hope yours stops soon and is nothing more than a reaction to brain "bruising".

It's been a long journey, and I am still struggling with accepting the problems it has left me with, but the way I look at it is that I could have been a lot worse than I actually am. Wishing you all the best for your recovery, you'll find lots of answers on here.
