It's been 4 years or there abouts since my brain tumor came out and I lost the site in my left eye. Well I thought I was doing good so about a year ago I told my lovely Doctor and any I went back up yesterday and the site is improving but now this is not a good thing as it could mean it would effect my other good eye. I've got other appointments coming up for other stuff but I don't what to go now. I can't keep getting my hops up only to get them kick away again. I'm in a dark place right now and it's not far on my kids and hubby. What to do

Sorry you're struggling Duchess. Do you see an ophthalmologist ?
I know they're highly competent specialists who could address your concerns by compensating for your affected eye, probably with corrective lenses on glasses, leaving your other eye unaffected.
I was treated at a private clinic but on the NHS. They were so professional, friendly and reassuring.
If you haven't already, maybe ask your doctor for a referral...
Best wishes, Cat x
Hello cat that's how i was seeing and my bad eye is seeing better. You would think this is good like I did but I've been told this is not the case. Because of the problems I've had after the opps me seeing in the bad eye could make it difficult for me to see properly at all in my good eye. I got my hopes up and then kicked away again. I at a place where I don't want anymore medical input because I can't keep falling when I think things are getting better then getting kick back down. Well that's how it fells. I can't keep doing this to my kids and husband I know I'm a pain inthe ass to live when I'm hitting rock bottom. Thanks xx
I'm not sure it's the same for an eye damaged by surgery, but a 'lazy' eye which interferes with overall vision is usually treated successfully by covering the good eye for several hours daily in a safe, familiar area. It apparently strengthens the weak eye. As your damaged eye is showing improvement, ask your optician if this would help,
This is easily arranged by using an eye patch or, if you wear glasses, by blanking out the lens for the good eye.
Otherwise I think your best option would be to get a firm diagnosis from an optometrist or ophthalmologist. They know their stuff and will do whatever's needed to fix the problem, once and for all.
Please talk with your optician or GP for a referral. Ophthalmologists corrected my vision promptly where my optician failed.
Take care m'love... x
