St George's Hospital in London are refusing referrals, need help!

So I've been told that the only hospital that can treat me, where they have neuro-psychologists, are not accepting patients. I've been offered standard neurology, but that's not till August. My injury was last April. I just started dreaming again this week for the first time since then, still have fatigue, memory, cognitive etc. I don't know where to go, I'm going to lose two years of my life unless I find someone to help me.

I got referred to London and was also turned down. But I was lucky to be in the right part of Sussex to be able to see the Community Neurorehabilitation team (it really is all down to luck of the Geography)

Whilst they have been tea helpful, the best assessment and treatment programme I have been given was from a Concussion specialist based in Surrey.

I figured it was with the drive. He was so helpful I was impressed and felt that I had been properly heard for the first time since my accident 7 months earlier. He was the first person to even examine me!

I’m not sure if Woking is too far for you or not but he does do video follow ups after the first session. In my opinion he was worth paying to see.

Thank you so much for your story and for the link. I'll take a look. So far I've been quoted £1000 plus £400 for a neuro psychology test. I can get that down by travelling out of London that would be great. Ideally half the price or around 600. Cheers.

Really sorry to hear you stopped dreaming. It's exhausting isn't it. Appreciate the comment. Not sure if it helped, but things started to get better on the dream front a few months after I took a ginseng and gingko daily every day. I don't really believe in Chinese medicine, but these two have serious scientific backing. It's expensive sadly, so I bought a combo low dose from Amazon, it wasn't too bad. Best of luck to you on your journey.
