Tylenol side effects

Hi,

Yesterday morning, I took Tylenol extended release 650 mg tablet. It was to relieve an earache. Right after taking it, I developed muscle pain in my upper left leg. I still have the pain today. Has anyone experienced side effects from Tylenol? After stopping Tylenol, how long does it take for the side effects to go away?

Thanks!

Brett

Hi Brett. I asked my GP for a stronger painkiller for a shoulder injury after a relative had been prescribe Tylenol and found it effective. I was surprised when my GP assured me that Tylenol and Paracetamol are one and the same (Acetaminophen ; produced in the US as Tylenol and in Europe as Paracetamol).

I've taken Paracetamol for many years without after effects and muscle pain doesn't appear on the accompanying leaflet as a possible side effect. But maybe consult your doctor for reassurance. I alternate between 1000mg Paracetamol & 1000mg Co-codamol as prescribed. I've never had any issues from either so, again, I suggest you have a word with your doctor..

Hope you get answers.

Best wishes, Cat...
