i confess the "Green room"is wearing me down,so im making chilli for myself/next door...have to tell you all though what happened..remember the "Jam"?...i gave a jar to a pal who took it to village bring and buy.to cut a long story freinds someone who judges the village veg/flower wot not show said had my jam been there it would have been "Placed"!!!!!apparently people that make blackberry jam put too much sugar.mine was sweet/tart with a hint of ginger and perfect for cheese as well as a preserve.im quite puffed up about this yess....wont be going into production yet but will still take my carrier bag out next august.

So glad that, your Jam, was a success.... Yes, 'Too Sweet', I forgot to mention that! Very easy to Overdo the Sugar- Not, so much of a problem, in Bramble Jelly BUT, be very careful with Apple Jelly. Maybe consider 'Stevia Extract', rather that sugar- easier to control, though much Sweeter per gram, so Watch It!

If you want, I can give you Recipes for Other Preserves too...... OK I already Running!

Stevia extract is a new one. Thank you. Will look it up. Been making plum jam just for the family. . . But the spiced plum chutney i made went quite quickly, so was thinking that I might replace that today. So many talented people here.... Well done D for getting your jam "placed". That cheered me up SO much. Thanks for posting.

Looking forward to your projects D - sounds like a good thing. I'm much inspired, and think I might do a couple of projects myself. And I look forward to recipes from Andrew as well.

Beats thinking about the returning pains - do any of yours return? I thought I had got rid of mine, but my wrist has started hurting again, and the knee, on the side I fell. Not enough to take it to a doctor, but enough to reach for the painkillers at night. What a bore.

Look at you missus 😃 Not only interior design buff but jam-maker extraordinaire. Nice one D !

I recall my aunt turning up with two jars of her homemade strawberry jam and an apology that it hadn't turned out well 'cause the fruit was still whole and she'd used too little sugar. It was the best jam I ever tasted 😋.

Over processed and sugary brands have become the norm, but you & my aunt could teach manufacturers a thing or two. Xx
