well, here we go again.son moved from walkergate into what is the best facility available.some of you will remember the very serious situations i had the last time he was placed?im not daft,i understand of course that i have some real anxiety etc and issues and can and have come over as very confrontational.this is only because of the past.i cant explain my behaviour(it has been bad)i dont get into situations unless i have no choice but some of you that know me would get this cowgirl aint scared of going toe to toe with anyone, this is my boy straight shoot out...i had visited this place prior to sean going, got the usual tour/blag etc.went to visit 3 days after he got there(his 38th birthday,my freinds took me)as i am now used to navigating north east having done middlesbrough/newcastle and now much closer to home(youd think..!)so i make first attempt with a day bus pass...i can get very easy from my home to bishop auckland,50 mins no probs.having googled and its fri 13th ill have a go...got off my bus and found what i thought correct next one.thank god for the freindly people telling me whats what!a lady and her mam tells me to get off bus and follow "dave" who works at a shop opposite centre.so i follow dave who keeps looking around at me..as dave went to work he took his phone out..im thinking please god dont be ringing police.sean thought this hilarious,i guess it is a bit obvs someone there that heard me tell the tale they saying let us know when yr wanting to go and we find bus times for you.its fair to say dont have best navigational skills, but i can follow someone, sorry dave..
"new Home"...: well, here we go again.son moved from... - Headway
"new Home"...
Brilliant story D.. Everyone I've ever known from the North East has been 'Salt of the earth' .....from in-laws to folk I've worked with & other acquaintances.
I'm smiling just thinking about you marching along behind 'Dave' through the streets of Bishop Auckland and how clever & kind it was of strangers to suggest you follow him ! I hope the journey will be a doddle after yesterday.
How is Sean taking to his new surroundings and to the staff so far ? ........well I hope. 😉
So another stage in Sean's journey completed. Lots of love to you both D --and a tummy tickle for Sox. Cat Xx
Hi D, pleased to read Sean has finally got to his placement in Bishop Auckland. I hope he soon settles in and everything goes well for him and you.
I am sure you will soon have the buses sussed and it will be so good to be able to visit Sean whenever you want.
Unfortunately our son has just spent another week back in hospital due to a flurry of short seizures but thankfully been back home since Wednesday with some new medication to control them and all is good with him. Take care. Nanapal x
Hopefully onward and upward for Sean. I'm sure Dave will recover 😀
