Well the day finally came when my husband Peter went into a care home, probably the worse day of my life, he was very upset leaving the house, but surprisingly enough he seemed to settle in much better than l thought, first week went ok, started to get to know the staff, Then all went pear shaped, he had an appointment at the eye clinic to have an injection in his eye as he's insulin diabetic, when leaving the home his coming down the ramps he tipped forward and ended up falling on his head on the tarmac, ambulance took 1hr to come, and he was on the floor in this terrible heat, the home were very good with him nurse stayed on the floor talking to him and putting cold compress on his head, went to A&E and he's now in hospital with a bleed on the brain, it never rains but it pours, He'sallready had a brain stem stroke, so say a little prayer for Peter, thanks for listening,

How very sad and awful for you both. Fingers crossed that he makes a full recovery from this fall. Thinking of you, do let everyone know how he is getting on.
