All that stress and anxiety Theresa May put disabled people through when she was trying to be a Margaret Thatcher and save money.

Turns out the country is in more debt than ever

This is a break from the general neurological things posted on here!

I'm not an economist and stay out of politics completely. Don't get me wrong, I hate all politicians equally, but the majority of the modern economy is built on debt. I think that the general public isn't taught about money correctly and they think that there is only a finite amount of money available. In reality, banks just create more money by creating debts. I agree that there is a huge problem with inequality in society in general. Disabled people will always fall near the bottom of a wealth distribution. Inequality will continue to grow as long as we live in a capitalist system. In a democracy, there are three major ways that this can be limited, but probably not stopped. In ascending order of preference, they are as follows:

1. A progressive tax system on the amount of capital (in all forms and locations) that individuals have.

2. Monetary Inflation.

3. Austerity.

The problem in this country is that the conservatives have been in power for too long, and therefore austerity. That's not to say that I like labour or what they're pushing any better. I think that they have got lost in identifying 'groups' of people and trying to win their vote, rather than concentrating on general policies. The point is that the "have nots", which include the disabled are going to really struggle in the coming years when monetary hyperinflation happens with all the debt that this virus has caused.

The problem is that, even though the world is a very 'local' place these days, that there is no central government (or agreement between nations,) in place that could institute a progressive tax on capital like I described earlier. Therefore, enabling anyone to move their resources around the globe to different untaxable physical and financial locations. As you probably know, the rich and their financial advisers are already very adept at this.

That was my not-so-little-rant for the day!

food for thought,

I don't think any UK government have known what they are doing for some years now and when they do have some sort of idea it is, about gaining in money power and greed and only of benefit to a select few which make up the super mega rich and those with the most power. The rest of us they leave to burn. It's all about who gets the most power and every one is in it for themselves
