I have real trouble regulating mine. Its all over the place.

I manage better when the air temp is warm, in summer.

In winter its horrible because the skin on my arms and back is now super sensitive to heavy jumpers and finding lightweight layers to layer without being too tight or loose is a nightmare

Yeah I find that as well, my girlfriend finds it hilarious, because I change my jumpers a few times a day. I definitely find it easier in the summer, yesterday I felt cold to the bone, even though it was fairly warm and sunny out. I boil up after having a shower, so my temperature regulation is also all over the place.

Its not funny really is it, i often have to change my clothes more than once a day.

I have a half hour chill out before getting dressed after a shower or bath

Yes definitely I’m cold to touch and I really feel it ALL of the time now my physio tells me it’s because the nervous system which has been affected supports the circulatory system so our circulation has now been effected which affects our body temperature

Yes, I suffer terribly from feeling cold all day. I dread to think what my bills will be like . Legs, feet , hands especially are frozen.

Yes, my husband definitely feels the cold more. He always used to have warm hands, now they are usually cold.

It's something that I experience but I feel it's partly down to my weight pre. & post TBI.

Just checked my BMI and before I was just in the high end of 'good' category and when I came out I would have been classed as anorexic. Now my weight is in the good but closer to the lower end.

I also suspect my autonomic system isn't working the same, so my hands are frequently cold and my friends ask why I've got multiple layers on.

I am usually hotter after tbi in 2004 my gp said that was good but it can be inconvenient if I visit an office , it is most noticeable with central heating when other people are fine I am too hot, and I am ok in the summer as not central heating.
