Help needed

Hi

Has anyone here ever had nerve block for head pain I am due to have it but am unsure about it I know it’s injections but that’s all I know any help and advice would be appreciated thanku x

Hi yes I have had occipital nerve block injections. Many years ago I had some and they worked. Last year i had 5. Two in the back of the head and 3 in the right temple unfortunately they didn't work. The neurologist said I had hemicrania continua. This was before my SAH in September. In December I was given 31 botox injections and these havent worked either I have felt ill 5 days after and continuing. I would say try the injections. They are ok a d if the work great. As for the botox injections - the jury is out. Good luck and hope it works.
