Well after appealing for the second time they still turned my son down for pip . They awarded him 0 points for both sections . We will now go to stage 3 and appeal it again. We are also still waiting for an appointment to see professor Goadsby at kings college London . I’ve emailed the secretary loads of times this has been going on since July !! Latest email last week was she should get a new batch of appointments in the next couple of weeks and they will be for Jan /March. My son has started to smoke cannabis not the illegal stuff this is the stuff u can get on line his not a smoker so doesn’t use tobacco in it just the herbs . Does make him cough abit but do you know what it actually numbs his pain for a while . Not cheep works out about £5 a smoke . He had a job interview yesterday for a high street jewellers it said 12 hours on the advert which he thought great I could try and manage that , but when he got there the woman said these hours would increase which he said he wouldn’t be able to manage. So he was very disappointed and upset saying his disabled what’s the point of going on when he can’t see a future. Awful day yesterday, his a very good looking chap my son super smart and looking very handsome in his navy suit his tall too 6 foot and a bit . I’ve always said he could be a model but he thinks it’s just mum saying that . Anyway I pray for the day he has some luck and pain free and happy in doing something he loves doing x

PIP really is a stressful process.

Were your appeals at court?

Usually in an appeal at court, they award PIP or at least some points.

So sorry to hear about your son's ongoing struggle. It's understandable how folk can feel undervalued and victimized by the system and I really hope the appeal court will grant the PIP next time. Our hearts can weight heavy with the concerns of sons/daughters...…….

Good luck and all best wishes. Cat x

This is what annoyed my Dad when I was younger, went to the job centre as they asked to see me, to have a talk about medical condition. No Doc there and the woman told me I don't have fits I have tantrums. Same women who was giving money out to the men who knew her by name , so were old hands at it. I am now an old dear and I'll always remember her laughing with the layabouts as my Dad told her and my Daughter is a genuine case bleep bleep !! Your son knows how he is ...Do not let him be fobbed off. Report them !! (Turned into my Dad in old age ) lol xxx Seriously Good luck and don't let them get away with it

Hi I really feel for you and your son.. I guess one of my fears is my son won't be able to work and he too is such a beautiful soul and very good looking even with his craniotomy!! I not very good at seeing my son crushed and thankfully at the moment he is coping well but I'm all too aware there are many challenges ahead!! I really feel for you and wish you well and hope someone gives him a chance all the best!

Hi..Harrys Mam.......

Try CBD oil, AND / OR Cannabis tea,

anything CBD related, which is Hemp-Cannabis (legal) is helpful to some if taken correctly.

Bought from a herbal store, organic food store or online............

I think if your going to take any type of cannibas 'legal or illegal', the best way is to consume it by eating it, or putting it in oil and using the oil to drizzle over your salad.

or to drink it in hot milk, with honey, or use it as a tea....

to get it into your system the best way is to eat or drink it.......then it can really go to work when it is inside your digestive system....then your really using the plants benefits of how it originally was used for illness's

smoking is an instant high and also instant pain relief - but can be bad for the lungs!!!!!!!

Using the correct herbs throughout the day and night does and can really help some - get advice!!!!!!!!!!

I can send you info!!!!

DISCLAIMER...DO NOT CONSUME ILLEGAL DRUGS!!!!!!

Hi,

I think you should visit a website called advicenow.com

I was rejected PIP after my first attempt. I got mostly 0s and 2s and nothing for mobility where my mobility is pretty crap. The worst and most obvious part gets shunned.

Assessor said he saw me walk which was utter tripe. He saw me take a few steps from the toilet to my seat. A few paces... this is not what you call ‘walking’.

My mum pointed out to the assessor in the meeting that I had problems with hearing and the assessor looked dumbfounded and said “Well, he can hear me now”.

Yes, I could hear him then, that’s because the assessor was ex army and had a booming voice and the meeting was between me, my mum and the assessor in a small room so it was very easy to hear what he was saying.

Now if the meeting took place in the rowdy atmosphere of a Weatherspoons pub, for example, then you would see that I had hearing problems.

Anyhow, I was rejected and so we decided to write back to the DWP and ask for a mandatory reconsideration but before we wrote back my mum found the Advice Now website., an online solicitor, apparently. I never actually got to see the website at all but she wrote down all my details about my disability, got to explain what I have trouble with and so on and then Advice Now send an email with a template letter that you can print out and send it to the DWP.

With this letter she also sent a handwritten letter complaint about how rude the assessor was. He saw my Headway ID card and basically mocked it.

After a few weeks, I got a letter from the DWP saying they had reconsidered and they had reinstated me. I was then getting the benefits I need and I now get 12 points for mobility so I qualify for the blue badge and bus pass once again :).

I didn’t completely agree with how they scored me but I was getting almost as much pay as I did with DLA. There would be no point to fight back and say “This aint exactly right” just to make a bit more dough... that’s greedy.

Harrys mam...........who have you been to for medical support?????

Did you go to CAB for advice????

Did you get medical support from your doctor?????

did you attend the tribunals with any legal help????
