Hi, I had surgery on a damaged nerve 8 days ago, the 'dead' muscles in my forearm, hand and three fingers have started working again (ouch). What I've noticed is that I seem to have had an overall boost, my memory, concentration and fatigue has all improved also. Has anyone else experienced this, I did come across an article a while ago explaining that damaged nerves in the body following an accident cause negative feedback to the brain. Has anyone else experienced this or have come across research into this.

The balance between the quest to know WHY something happens and merely being grateful that it does...That's a tricky one to strike, isn't it? In simplistic terms, it would seem quite reasonable that something beneficial in one area would have a positive impact elsewhere.
Wanting to know if and how two events may be connected is the consequence of an enquiring mind, so, to me, even if you don't know the answer, or even if there isn't one, the fact that you are considering things is a positive exercise that, in itself, is healthy.
The 'walnut' sometimes doesn't give up its secrets easily!.
Take care

Hi Nackapan,
Could I ask if you are seeing a behavioral optometrist? I would like help with lightsensitivity but it does not seem to be available on the ahs and I cannot afford private treatments best wishes
Hi Amber, the NHS does not even recognise behavioural optometry, you can only get it privately. There are many charlatans so be very careful.
