Hi Janey. Sorry you're struggling to find reliable care for your son ; Autism and Hemiplegia sounds like a volatile mix. I have a severely autistic niece in full time care (consisting of two daycare staff and two night staff) but it took years of trial and error and a short period of abuse before accommodation, funded by the Autistic Society & local authority, was offered.

But now the local authority is threatening to withdraw further funding, so something which has worked so well for many years is now very precarious.

I can only suggest you phone the Headway helpline to see whether they can link you up with the appropriate agencies. The helpline no. is 0808 800 2244 (office hours/free calls).

Best wishes m'dear in finding the help you & your son so badly need. Cat x
