I’m a 32 year old female who has had a brain injury for 16 years on the 8th November and I’m trying to find people to connect with for friendship and socialising as I struggle to find anyone similar problems to me as the only support network I can find is headway so although I attend social meetings once a month this isn’t enough does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance

how about suggesting making them bi monthly, and meeting at someones house for a social evening, especially now the nights are getting warmer.
You won't go wrong on here, lots of great people, very understanding and decent
Welcome D. This is where I come for a daily fix of 'Belonging'. Hope you find some extra social venues ; maybe give your general location for ideas from anyone in your area. Cat x
I’m in Leeds thanks for your replies I really want a better social life but am limited due to my injury and not everyone really understanding what it means all I’m looking for is people to meet for coffee occasionally or something similar
Hey DirtyD, I go to a local Headway meeting twice a month and I have a bit of a chat on this site. That seems to give me enough of a 'Brain Injury Fix'. I still feel like I should socialise more but I seem to have lost the energy and the knack.
