I’ve had Cranioplasty 2 weeks ago to repair my skull after have undergone multiple surgeries last year to remove grade 2 oligodendroglioma last July . (Benign). It got infected and in turn my bone had to be removed so I had to wait 6-8 months to make sure there was no infection.
It wasn’t sore up until last Saturday and I find it sore around the edges of the bone flap ? Is this normal ? I hope I won’t be like this forever
Please let me know thanks

Hi Shane. If the soreness has developed in an area which has been pain free 'til now you need to have it checked out.
It might be nerve damage as tissue knits together and the scarring forms, but to err on the safe side please either see your GP, contact your neuro team or go to A&E to rule out further infection, or to get treatment if necessary. Cat x
Hi shane my craioplasty is still tender to touch mine was done last june after i suffered an infection after my brain tumour removal but if your worried get it checked by the neuro team dont leave it good luck
Hi Cat, I’ve being in touch with the neuro team in hospital. They are happy with it! But what I can’t understand is when I bend down is I can feel clicking in my head. I’m wondering if this is normal?
I've read online that it's not uncommon to hear clicking after a craniotomy, and that it's air in the brain which usually settles within a few weeks. It's apparently helped by plenty of rest and elevating the head whilst sleeping.
