Hi everyone, I had a basilar aneurysm coiled in 2012, then in 2018 it had grown and ruptured while waiting for surgery. Having recovered very well from the bleed, returning to work and life, I have now found it has grown again and impeding on my brain stem. I have seen my consultant and all he can offer me is to reinsert more coils in the hope it can give me a further five years. Has anyone else had anything like this. I have every confidence in my surgeon, and Salford Royal to look after me.Hopefully the op to take place in next few weeks, until then just have to sit tight, love Alice xx

I too have a 28mm Aneurysm on the brain stem . I had coiling , an artery occluded and a stent placed last June 2108 . In September I had another stent placed over the first one . I’ve had to learn to walk again . My face is frozen/numb , right eye doesn’t close properly. The aneurysm is leaning on the right nerve and causing so many problems . The experts have no idea what to do next so hopefully when I have my next scan , nothing has moved to warrant more procedures. I’m not going through this again that’s for sure. I hope you get help and soon .

Best wishes , Shona 🤗🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
