Had my schedule knee operation done on Tuesday and they discovered while removing the revision knee operation that Apart from all the other complications my tibia was broken so I am in a knee brace which looks like something from outer space) As the stroke has damaged my muscles in my leg 🦵and waist it’s more difficult for me to do the exercises. I am determined to walk and get the strength back into my knee.
This is just a catch up as although I have not posted for a while I keep reading all the posts and it helps me to keep positive.
Loads of Love and best wishes Liz xx

O'h Liz, I can truly sympathise. Keep persevering with those knee exercises. Have you tried cycling (?) which is less stress and strain on the knee than walking. I strained one of my knee ligaments out walking the other day, and the sheer frustration and aggro caused...not to mention frequent leg buckles. Sounds as though you might need a bit of physio to start you off.
After my last knee op' the physio booked me on an antigravity treadmill. They allow you to walk with minimal percentage weight going through the knee, increasing as you get stronger until full weight bearing. That way no knee buckles whilst allowing you to walk with a natural posture.
Thanks for the advice I shall ask the physio about the antigravity it does sound interesting I am only allowed 10per cent bend at the moment but at least I can walk straight that in its self is amazing Love Liz x
