Firework distress

Is anyone else getting sick and tired of hearing fireworks for the 2nd night running I get that it's bonfire weekend but hearing the fireworks from outside is distressing me I mean they say poor animals what about people with mental health who may not like it.

Ive had enough of fighting myself today to get stuff done and I still have stuff to do but I can't as fireworks going off is draining me further than I already am

I totally agree. Goodness knows what it will be like on the 5th . I hate them and always have . Displays only I think but I’ve been saying that for a long time . ❤️

Yes, all that banging is very disturbing. I keep the windows closed and listen to music.

I can't stand them and have always done. The only way I cope is staying in when it gets dark and putting music on headphones. It ruins my evenings for days on end. Will be happy when it is over. Stress we don't need....

Totally with you, Bex - Historically though the point of fireworks is to celebrate the failure of the Portuguese incumbent Guy Fawkes on the removal of both Parliament and King which would make England a republic - good idea, stupid plan - perhaps the fireworks are Guido Fawkes 'beyond the grave' act of vengeance. Making sure that generations of English suffer for his execution - worth a thought?

Not thought of it this way brumated. Interesting viewpoint if not open to personal interpretation. Thank you. Clare

I was talking to one of our electrians at work who lives a few doors down (or up depending on which way on the street your looking) who works in the same office as me (sometimes as we start and finish the same shift we walk in and out of work) gave me some ear defencers as they have a crap load which is helping massively and eveytime I hear (or see as the defencers are absorbing the sound) a firework go off I need to take a mouthful of wine to calm my nerves (I will happy go into work hungover tomorrow)

2nd time in 20 years went to a social clubs Bonfire Night.found myself Enjoying the fizz-pop fireworks. Obviously the Explosive banging types not included in professional technical display. Staring myself into the relaxing fire was peaceful. Only for my now ex, to disappear, play mind games.. Waited at Gourmet type burger decent catering. Refuelled, stood in rain +welcomed Hells heat in just tshirt. Best of both worlds but my immediate one needs sorting... So Finished with trying to Fix a wreck that doesn't Help herself for 7 years.

Freedom for my own Soul batteries. Recharge & zero pressure for Christmas.
