I really thought I would have to pray if I could check in a hotel as I thought I had no hope of getting home tonight!!
So I tried to get the bus from dawlish back to Exeter - no show so I won't be able to make the return falcon coach back to Bristol
Thought fine train to Dawlish to Exeter then Exeter to Bristol - got a train from Dawlish to Exeter but couldnt see any trains going from Exeter to Bristol - ran around Exeter train station trying to look for a conductor and ages and finally found not one but three and what they suggested was get a train from Exeter to the Digby where I can get on the Falcon coach like I planned back to Bristol which I was fearful I may miss as the falcon is every 2 hours compared to every hour but thankfully ive gotten here in time but I will be spending all day tomorrow in bed as I am mentally drained and exhasted from this 10 or so hour around trip (I left Bristol at 1:30pm) it has never ever taken me this long it's taken me less time to get to Newcastle
The 22:15 coach to Bristol hasn't turned up the coach to Plymouth did !!! I fear I may be stuck in the middle of no were on my own until midnight now

Bexx - I hope you’re home now - I’ve just read your post. Don’t stay out on the streets if you can’t get a bus. If you’re stuck there - go to the station staff and tell them they need to arrange transport for you back to Bristol - and if not - try to find a hotel, or ring the police and tell them you’re stranded if you have to. Wishing you good luck with the rest of your your journey.
Because the stop was in the middle of no where I saw a couple and asked where the nearest hotel was and they said you would have trouble getting a hotel as a majority will be fully booked due to the amount of events happening this week end in Exeter so I explained that I missed the coach and there was another one in 2 hours but didn't want to stand on my own (I was so distraught) I explained I had mental health issues and they took me back to the hotel where they called the police (in-between waiting the lady asked the hotel reception if he could make me a tea which helped and I found out that the lady worked in a pharmacy and her husband worked in IT) who by time they arrived and I said there is another coach at midnight so they dropped me back but the driver didnt want to stay as call came though the radio for assistance but his colleague did and pointed out that they have a duty of care so he stood with me and thankfully about 5 minutes later more people started showing up so the police officer who was standing with me (his colleague who was the drive drove off round the corner) explained my situation and asked if they made sure I got on the coach and they said yes and I so hyped up with the orange words of BRISTOL on and the lady who I stood with explained my ordeal to the coach driver and said she was getting off at Taunton so could be make sure I get off at Bristol which he said he would, so I sat down and immediately fell asleep the lady who stood with me nudged me to say she was getting off incase I panicked but I thanked her for the reasurance and when we got back to Bristol the coach driver nudged me (but I kept waking up at every stop dased and confused about where I was and the time) and I jumped in a bcc streamline taxi once I got off and crawled into bed around 2:30am and have just woken up (11:00am) with a banging headache and I am still very exhausted and don't want to leave my bed
What a day you had - the Trains are appalling in the West Country. I’d email and tell them what happened if I were you. You poor thing. Hope you’re havjng a quiet day today
Thanks I feel a bit better now that I've had a shower and half a pizza but am still achy and tired and I've had 3 friends on Facebook messaged me if I'm ok and managed to get home safely today
It appears we are all at the tender mercies of the GWR (Five Go Mad On Timetables) monster. Today I went to my local station and although they (GWR) have publicised the lack of services (Bus replacement) to Bristol, they didn't say that the replacement bus times bore no relation to the train times they replaced.
As a result, I got to work at 9:30, First bus have just changed the services to Yate and I am not used to them either so I ended up getting a bus which went in the most convoluted route known to man (or woman) - note to self, do not get the Y5 ever again, the Y6 goes to Southmead Hospital (via Cribbs Causeway) so the most direct routes are the Y1 - Y4.
I'm didn't get to sleep til 12 so am running on 5 hours sleep again today and extremely tired and grouchy and I spoke to a cleaner who also goes to Dawlish but he said he went to Birmingham and because it looked like a nightmare trying to get home they stayed over if I could have got a hotel room I would have booked it so my last cbt session (which I'm waiting for now) is not going to be fun
