Secretion atfer brain injury down nose and throat

Since my head injury and brain bleed a clear liquid runs down my nose and throat. My throat and nose are raw, back of my eyes sting, anyone had the same? Much love to you all x

I wouldn't wish this on anyone Dawn but it's a relief to hear I'm not the only one........

I've tried convincing my GP that my sinus & mucous problems only started since the BI but I might as well talk to the wall. She prescribed both antibiotic and saline sprays, which do give some relief, but haven't actually fixed the problem in 6 years.

I suggested an ENT referral but she says they'd only prescribe the same. Have you had your issues investigated ? x

Post nasal drip..... Was a problem for me before and after brain illness.

I used to use a throat spray for the pain, then decided I would look for an alternative.

I often turn to yoga thinking and decided to try a practice of using a nettie pot to introduce a warm saline solution through the nasal cavity. You will need to be shown how to do this properly, but was a great help for me. Skype??

My issues are nothing as bad as that. But I have noticed that I get a stuffy nose much more often and need to blow it. This causes my ears to block up for a few seconds like when you 're under water.

I have a more stuffy nose feeling too and have to blow it more. It must be a common after symptom. I also talk like I have a cold with a blocked nose,(well that's what it sounds like and feels to me)

The smell and taste make me feel sick, nose and throat soreness too. Bonus I do get odd tastes every now and again, dizziness settled which is good but a bit of strange fuzziness left, sending so much love x long battle my friends x
