I had the tribunal for my PIP yesterday and id originally been given 0 points. A lot of discussions over the phone and they then decided I’d get 6 points.
Yesterday at tribunal I ended up with 19 points!!!!.
So I won my case and backdated money from May

Well done Spidey, soneone really needs to look closely at how these PIP assessments are done. An in depth analysis needs to be done on which are rotinely being wrongly scored in the initial stages, it wiuld save a lot in court fees and time .
Fantastic news though.
It scares me though because without my husbands help id need to apply so if anything happens to him, god forbid!!!!
Brilliant news Spidey! It is so wrong that we have to battle these benefit claims and suffer the trauma it causes. From 0-19! that certainly shows an assessors incompetents!
Well done. But sad for the suffering we all have to endure in the system no one can compensate us for the stress, work and fight. Life is a big enough struggle without enduring tribunals and the like. So Im very pleased for you it looks as if we have to be reviewed every year though.Hey ho it all starts again.
Great news. I wish that I was well enough to appeal, but just doing the initial application, even with a lot of help from my wife, made me so unwell that I gave up once I had been granted basic rate. The government should be ashamed.
Brexit dtay or leave is not the issue in regards to what will make Britain great. Being a country that supports the dignity and rights of those who become ill or disabled would allow us to feel proud at home and on the world stage.
We need a fair and dignified benefit system that allows those with permanent disability to focus on their life and health. No one is against checks and balances but the blatant assumption that the disabled are srounger should be viewed as offence , an act of discrimination. The current system and its process is shameful. There is no justification for a system that emotionally and financially punishes the disabled before giving them the most basic level of support. No review for long term conditions, Higher benefits for those with life changing condition and everyone to be treated as a indiviidual. I and my partner should not have had to fight just for some very basic right. Well done you.
I was lucky as I have Scunthorpe Headway and Hull Headway, plus my Mum is a retired neuro nurse who is extremely good at talking (after all she’s a woman).
I feel sorry for the ppl who don’t have this kind of support. They miss out
