PIP, At last the brown envelope dropped into the letter box, so after all the stress I had, I have been awarded enhanced rate for mobility and enhanced rate for care, but at 68 they have said they will be contacting me again in four years time. Do they think my tremor will get better as according to my doctor it will only get worse. Also my arthritis, this will never get any better. Personally I think it is a waste of time and money, but at least I have four years of peace so I will enjoy this time and enjoy the knowledge that I can relax for four years as who knows what will happen by then! Thank you for all your support and help, I am in hospital again on the 14th as I have extremely bad arthritis in my wrist and my consultant is going to strip the nerves from the wrist to help relieve the pain so I hope this works as if it does not I will need a new wrist. Take Great Care Loads of Love Liz x

Spot on about reassessment!!

Regarding ESA Damian Green, the Work and Pensions secretary said:

“If someone has a disease which can only get worse then it doesn’t make sense to ask them to turn up for repeated appointments. If their condition is not going to improve, it is not right to ask them to be tested time after time. So we will stop it.”

What about (PIP?), perhaps you may like to take this up with your MP, sometimes it works.

On a more positive note there is a new PIP renewal form A1, which ask a question about the activities, you're asked has something become easier, harder and no change. Obviously if it's easier or harder they'll assess the award in great detail. However you'd only expect further investigation if things have become easier.

Spot on. I'm hearing the roll out of DLA to PIP is behind schedule and this may have some effect on award periods, who knows total chaos.

I'm guessing that's why the produced the simplified A1 form (mentioned before), as it reduces the work load.

Given the PIP award you should consider if you qualify for Pension Credit, there's a benefit calculator here:

If it's not clear a CAB should be able to help.
