Im with you there .what's normal life now

I've had the last 4 headway groups in my diary....not quite got there. ...

Could you phone the person who runs the group and explain that you need help to attend. Maybe someone who already goes could meet you so you could go together? Once you have been a couple of times you wouldn't be worried as you would know people there. Go for it, it could change your life.

I was incredibly nevious first time I went to the Headway group.

They where very welcoming and I have become one of the regulars! Quite a lot of people come with friends and family the first few times.

I’ve just joined a squash club, where I knew no one. Hadn’t played it for 15yrs so I ain’t their best player. Really enjoy it though and got to know a new group of chaps who all now know about my TBI. Positive mentality is the key issue, as it always is.

Been there. It took me a year to actually attend my local headway.

Best thing I did is finally go. Don't let your fears put you off. Keep trying and you will get there.

It will open other groups up to you.

Remember you haven't failed to attend the groups you just pacing you self to get there.

As the others have said. Go to a Headway group near you. It took me three months or so after I had looked them up on the internet. Some are small groups like the one I go to. I was quaking in my boots the first time but it is well worth the butterflies when you get in there. If you are in Doncaster I could meet you and go together. It's the last Wednesday in the month. Let us know how you get on xx
