Hi,

Is this a hospital appointment?

Symptoms

Intensity - they usually use 1-10

Frequency - every day, or every 5 days on average, or random times

Triggers - have you identified any situations that trigger, eg tiredness, busy places etc

Patterns - eg any symptoms happen together

Good luck.

I was just checking hospital not insurance as very different.

I've met with 19 different consultants since my accident of which 1 is good with patients, many have been polite but detached and dismissive of patient questions, and a few outright rude.

I wouldn't expect a bedside manner, but make sure you write your questions down so you can have get answers to everything you need whilst in there.

I would also check you have next steps for all symptoms as it will focus their attention to make sure not dismissing any.

It will be fine, just have everything written down before you go then you can relax and listen properly whilst you are there

Hi Pat,

It says your post was a week ago, have you already been? Some of the things seemed silly, like drawing a circle and putting numbers in it. We are artists so that was a piece of cake. Now my brother was run over and he got a bad injury and they also had him draw.

I was lucky my oncologist found me a dr. that listens and seems to be very thorough. I can't imagine anyone wanting to go just for 'fun'. He checked my throat, my hands, my feet and sent me for a ton of tests. I had head and brain scans, nerve conduction, heart and all types of blood work even some genetic stuff. They did find a mutation and some brain problems; that I didn't want to know about but I kinda' already knew... and that explains a lot.

Hope your appointment goes well. Red
