I was wondering wether anybody else who suffered a tbi caused by a car crash suffers from the same head tremor which makes me feel like Noddy's cousin, and if there is any way in which it can be controlled...

Slight head tremor
Hi Becky, does your head actually shake?
I ask this because I have the sensation of my head shaking, tremor, but it doesn't actually shake.
My vision therapist told me this after observing me whilst I was doing exercises, or just sitting and talking with her. She said it was just sensations I was getting but I was not actually shaking.
It's still the same, worse when I am tired, but I just ignore it now, not easy to ignore but I can do it now.

When I have my haircut and have to physically look at myself in the mirror I notice it, friends have said that they don't notice but I feel like it's because they have seen me since my accident and therefore forgetting about it as they are used to it. I have Botox injections to help control it, but ur right about it happening during tiredness.
I am much the same as the last reply, feels like my head / brain is shaking but it's not,,,,it's just me that feels it, it's not visible ......it's very wearing when you're tired and distracting when your not. If you have an actual movement I would seek help from your neurologist. Sorry I can't advise, hope you get sorted out soon. x
Hi,
I have this regularly since the accident. Monitored it for years. Always when hitting the wall with fatigue. Usually get heat in one spot in head that builds then tremors in head/right arm/body, then heat in head disappears. I'd get yourself tested but I can tell you that I have had no negative effects from this at all and can now feel when it's coming on so just get myself somewhere quiet for few minutes until it passes.
Hi Becky,
I have developed neck and back tremor ( awaiting tests for a neurological condition, rather than a head injury ). Certain positions/movements seem to worsen mine. Some tremor info :

I think that for the 'tremorer' it often feels more physically dramatic than it appears to the observer. My neck is minor - I notice the slight movement of my hair in my peripheral vision. My back however, can be barmy and launch liquid out of cups I'm carrying ! I hope you are not too self conscious about it and it doesn't restrict your activities. Angela x
