Today is a bad day

Morning chaps, chapettes and fellow head cases.

Today is one of those days where I wake up and don't want to leave the bed. I feel sick, unsure of things and I have a... wait for it.... Headache.

I have made myself go into work, as I don't get sick pay and will spend the day trying to cope with the workload.

It is times like this when I struggle and feel so alone. But enough of me how are you all doing.

Hi,

Sorry to hear how you feel.

I am currently tired and woke up later than I normally do to get some extra sleep as I ran my local zumba last night as a favour so the teach could have a mini holiday as i did on sunday was well for her and then the pizza that I ordered came late so I didn't get to be until 11 and I was up at 5;30 this morning and I had a cramp in the middle of the night (which I rarely get now but I had them a lot when I was a teenager) and I have been extremely anxious all week about a situation that might arise on Saturday but headway know I hope it doesnt arise so that has been draining me emotionally so I am drink a lot of coffee but the issue with that is I am needing to go to the bathroom lots lol.

Can you take headache pills like neroufen or go for short breaks to get some fresh air? can you manager or colluegages help with your workload and decrease it slightly? can you put things off and do sections of work a different day when you feel better? can you do work on your own or work from home?

and just think after today its one more day until the weekend, plan something to look forward to both tonight, tomorrow and the weekend.

I don't know where you live but you can come down to Bristol and check out our harbour festival that's happening this weekend

Bless thank you for the invite.... Bristol is a tad too far at the moment, I live in Surrey in a village called Merstham. I have decided to take regular breaks and do as much as I can in small bite size chunks...

With regards to pain relief, that is hard I used to take co-codamal but I have been told now by the hospital to avoid it as much as possible. So its good old fashioned paracetamol

:-)

paracetamol has no effect on me

Hope you're feeling a bit better today Scoogle (great username) and that you have a headache-free weekend.

I'm doing ok (so long as I have the CoCodamol ! ). It's stormy and cooler (thank goodness) here in NW today so enjoying a break from that crazy heat !

Take care ; Saturday's not far away. Cat x

Thank you. My friends called scoogle as I know where to find answers.

Yesterday was a good day very little pain. This morning my head was in protest from being lifted from my pillow. But hey its Saturday.

Typical summers day rain and a birthday party to go too.

Oh good...........I'll bear that in mind !

I hardly left my bed yesterday as my head was so painful, but woke this morning feeling much better. (no party to go to though, thankfully).

So let's both enjoy the day (sunny here in NW after a stormy night). Have a good weekend Scoogle............. xx

You will get good days and bad days but slowly the good days will take over so it's best to try and stay as positive as you can ! I do and now I hardly have any bad days. I've had 3 brain operations following a SAH. Giving positive vibes !
