Walkergate park - driving assessment

Any one had one here and can give me a heads up on what we can expect ?

I assume this is an assessment to see if you can have your licence back? My husband had one last year. Firstly he had a chat with the instructor and a phsycologist. Then they did some tests, just basic stuff - remembering words, fitting shapes together and so on and then he had a test drive for about half an hour in their car. There was nothing scary about it at all, just making sure that his brain could process information enough for him to be safe on the road.

Yes but it's for my dad - just received the letter yesterday , wa your husbands assessment requested by dvla?

Yes, it was. Due to his brain injury they couldn't decide whether or not he should still be driving.

I went to Derby years ago.

A long day but very friendly and helpfull. It's not so much how you drive ( odd bad habit) but if you can drive safely.

Consisted of medical review , medical , reaction assessment , short driversion around hospital then on road. You can ask for breaks if needed.

I had mine in Derby last year. Medical questionnaire, then some brain function tests -questions to check memory and information provessing and such - then a drive round some roads on a housing estate nearvy and back to the centre. Took about 2 hours all in all.
