I've really become a convert since discussing the merits of CBD oil with Barny and Peter. I bought 10ml from CBD Brothers and used it 3 times daily under the tongue as prescribed but it stained my teeth so much that I stopped using it before I could gauge its efficacy.

So I'm taking my time in reading a bit more every day to learn about all aspects of it. And the more I read the more fascinating and shocking the subject becomes, from proven claims or cancer cures to its prohibition, which can only be down to the mega-millions drug companies/governments stand to lose from its legalisation and acceptance into mainstream healthcare.

I intend to research a bit more (about strengths, dosage etc,) before sending for a vaping device of one type or another which I suspect would be more suitable for me personally than oral doses. I need to find an alternative to steroids for my arthritis pain as they no longer provide lasting relief, apart from using it as an elixir for general wellbeing. xx

It just shows how ignorant I am in this whole business ; I assumed those shops were only for tobacco smokers ! But it's handy to know they're an extra source of information if needed.........thank you.

I think I've decided to go for the cheapest option to start with to see how effective the oil is for me. The basic kanavape you showed me looks promising. Then it's a matter of contacting CBD Brothers for advice on types & strengths.

Many thanks Peter ; hope you're doing ok. :-/ xx

We have a vaping lounge in our town, it opened up not long ago. Me and my mum don't see a lot of point in it really. The e-cigs were designed so that you could smoke them anywhere you wanted but people have kicked up a fuss over them and some places don't want others vaping everywhere, which I think is ridiculous. So now there is a special cafe solely for vapours?! I don't get it. The way I see it it is another money-machine. Why not build a special cafe for smoker while their still ahead? :)

That is the other thing I love about nature, you cannot overdose.

You have got the mod box and kanavape and e-cigarette that uses that all use CBD oil and you use the capsules too.

I know that you are instructed to use the capsules a number of times a day but if you were talking about a cough, you might be taking Lemsip which will likely tell you to have a limited dose. 4-6 times a day every 2 hours, blah blah.

I wouldn't be doing that. I would rather drink ginger tea or some other herbal tea as much as I wanted :).

That is the thing, these pharma medicines may do the trick at first but don't last. It reminds me of the time a few years ago when I said to my brother that I had sensitive teeth and he told me to use Sensodyne toothpaste. That was good at first but did not last. After knowing and reading more on natural medicines I am using coconut oil, not to brush my teeth with though, I use it as a kind of mouth wash. The process is called 'oil pulling' and it has been around for thousands of years. Oil pulling is brilliant for oral hygiene. It kind of makes you wonder why people are not told to use coconut oil, and other oils, from the begining of life but that would lead to a different story :).

One man to look up is Rick Simpson. According to him he has cured over 5000 people using cannabis oil. As activists/nautrulists will tell you "Cancer is a business".

Hey Matt, may I recommend you watch "Clean eating - the dirty truth" bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b... if you've ever heard of the "PH Miracle" one of many bogus cancer cures, you might be interested to know the person behind it all is now behind bars. It's the sort of so-called treatment that may dupe many vulnerable people who're desperate for a cure. Here, the government/authorities are doing cancer and other desperate people a big favour! BTW I'm not anti-nature, but some people use words like "natural" or "nature" to infer superiority over pharma-based treatments, when I think both have their place in treating health conditions.

Hi Barny,

Interesting documentary there but it was exactly as I thought it would be. I don't watch a lot of TV any more because there is so much rubbish/misinformation on it. That show was broadcasted on BBC television, the very same network that was broadcasting live news of 9/11. There is a video footage of the broadcast where they announced that WTC7 had fallen down when it hadn't. There it was in the background still standing. It was about half an hour after the announcement that the building fell. Don't believe this? Talk to former actor, now activist Jessy Ventura about it.

So this is one of the reasons why I do not watch or believe what I see or hear on TV.

I do believe a lot of what Dr. Young says, whether he was banged up or not as I have experienced acidic/alkaline body and what it can do.

As I say "Proof schmoof, I would rather go along with experience".

The government/authorities are in no way doing us a favour, I can tell you that now.

We live in a heavily corrupt world that is all about making money. It's actually a very sick world we live in today.

Hi Matt,

from your posts I know you're very into conspiracy theories and I knew there'd be no budging you when it came to this instance of a natural alternative supposedly able to cure cancer being cross-examined and found to be a scam by the 'powers-that-be'. :) Still I thought it would be worth a try to show you that a few of these 'natural alternatives' are may be exploitative and more importantly not effective treatments for certain conditions such as cancer. Here was an instance of someone feeding off people's vulnerability and desperation to make money money money, selling something that has no science to back it up. I know you'll say that is nothing compared to the amount of money the pharma industry make who have us drugged up with medication that may not work or who's evidence supporting long-term use is questionable, but still at least they've all gone through trials, baking soda hasn't been tested and there's no evidence that it cures cancer.

I completely agree that we should eat more fruits and veg to create a more alkaline or less acidic body as the alkaline neutralises the acid created by eating processed food like bread or digesting meat. But fruits and veg are also great because they contain a lot of fibre and which keeps the gut healthy. They even contain beneficial bacteria which helps food to digest and even a small imbalance of bacteria can create digestive upsets and even affect the mood. So there're not just good because they're alkaline like you'd think from this hoax practitioner. :)

About the BBC, I actually prefer to watch it over commercially-paid tv and think it's less 'mind-controlling' not just because the adverts are annoying but because the tv programmes on commercial channels are created not just to satisfy the viewers but to satisfy their commercial sponsors. So you get gambling adverts on when showing sport, etc.

Don't tell me you listen to that conspiracy wacko Alex Jones?

Matt2584 profile image
Matt2584 in reply to barny1

Puh-lease, Alex Jones... You mean Bill Hicks.

He is a government shill, he admitted it on air. My mum used to watch his show, not because she believes in everything he said but because he was a laughing stock. A lot of the American public used to watch his show for entertainment. He would tell you all this "info" and get all irate over it. You could see an early death happening just by getting worked up like that.

It's not just Dr. Young that believes alkalising the body cures cancer and it's not just me either. Mike Adams, author of Natural News believes so. David Icke believes so. Thousands of other people out there believe so. How do the native Americans, various tribes, aborigines, Amish folk of America get through life without touching pharma drugs?

I know it's not all about alkalising your body to feel good and so on as like you said natural foods like fruit and veg can have a number of nutrients in them that are great for the body.

Eating naturally is probably THE best way to lose weight. A lot of people are duped into thinking to eat less when that is so wrong. That will male the gut swell. What you want to do is to avoid eating processed foods especially the ones that say 'diet', 'less fat' or something similar for a start.

A big problem lies with fat. People think that the more fat you eat, the more fat you get which is wrong. The problem lies with refined sugar which can be found almost everywhere. Refined sugar is what gets you fat and can cause a lot of health problems.

Years and years ago, a guy called Ancel Keys was supposed to make a study on a number of countries on the people's fat intake and their health. He only covered a few of those countries, it seems like he couldn't be bothered with the rest. Anyhow, he made it sound like all fat was bad when actually saturated fat is a fat your body needs. If only he had finished his study. So a massive lie has been going around for years because of this bloke.

With the whole advertising on TV, I disagree with all of it. Which is most probably another reason I don't watch TV no more.

They do look very similar lol

I used to listen to him (back when you're only outlet was radio/tv) for a bit way back in the early 2000s, he was pushing the conspiracy theory that 9/11 was a "gubermint" inside-job blah blah. I must admit he was fairly convincing to a young, naive and brain-injured kid as I was. But, now I think about it listening to that just made me paranoid about the world and helpless, because if that was true it's depressing. But, now I don't believe a word that crack says, he's a shameless self-promoter.

On the alkaline debate, yeah it makes you wonder how tribes and such isolated from civilisation for millennia cope without pharma drugs...I'll bet they don't live as long, but they may well be healthier due to their active lifestyles and complete reliance on natural food. I'd even go so far to say that they probably don't die of cancer or diabetes like most westerners do which are caused in large part on over-reliance of processed foods, but of viruses or parasites type diseases.

If you've lived entirely of naturally grown food (not including crops) it's hard to see how you can put on weight and get diabetes and cancer. They'd follow a palaeolithic type diet which would be based on meat/fish/eggs and fruits/vegetables, which is the diet that we've evolved to eat. Follow this diet, as I have done and you'll lose weight very quickly, you don't even need to restrict calories, that's taken care of by eating the vegetables which contain a lot of fibre leaving you feeling full and the meat which leaves you feeling full because it sits in your stomach longer. I must admit, I did find it hard to maintain and now I eat mostly natural foods but include a lot of dairy as well. Anyway, I didn't need to lose weight, I just did it for the supposed health benefits.

Fat is a big part of my diet, but it's mostly unsaturated plant oils or butter or oils from fish and I can say I don't put on weight due to fat and it keeps you feeling fuller for longer so you don't crave sugary foods which is where the problem lies.

I don't believe fully in all the conspiracies I hear but I do believe in them to a degree.

When it comes to the chemtrails/geo engineering/aerosol spraying conspiracy, I 100% believe in because you can see them.

I also strongly believe in the Big pharma conspiracy and 9/11.

According to what I've read, these Tribes/Amish folk and so on, live long, prosperous lives without pharma drugs.

And if they likely die off to viruses or parasites while westerners are more prone to die off by cancer or diabetes due to the reliance of processed foods just goes to show that health or the lack of it is all down to our diet.

You eat natural foods, you have good health. You rely on processed foods, you've got bad health. I prefer to see things as simple as that. I don't like things being too complicated.

Thanks for the link on the paleo diet, I'll look into that later :).

I used CBD oil for pain and nerves in the later stages of recovery. However I would recommend in the early stages of a BI, any dizzy or balance problems, this could potentially provide further feelings of destabilisation. If pain relief and a sense of calm, relaxation, tonic for the nerves is what you are after, this is just the ticket.

I don't use it anymore, although the bottle remains in the fridge! I would put a dropper full under the tongue and allow it to sink in slowly, holding mouth shut for 5 minutes, often with eyes closed in sitting position, in anticipation of a deeper calm feeling. I don't recall staining of teeth. If after 20 mins, I didn't achieve the calm, I repeated another dropper full under the tongue which means the teeth are not touched.

It does interfere with receptor cells in the brain and can make you less inclined to use the executive function of planning future events like 'what am I having for dinner and how am I going to make it'. It does however provide creative motivation, and you might find yourself sitting on the floor doing yoga stretches with a video playing showing you the way. Or you might simply take out a piece of paper and paint something. Helps to facilitate expression for those of you with PTSD (holding back / internalising memory / emotions / pain).

Best.
