Nearly 4 years ago me and my family were im a car crash due to domestic violence. Unfortunately my son who was 5 at the time suffered a traumatic brain injury. I'm 26 and i feel alone as i care for my son no one seems to understand anything . Any info or even to make a few friends in the same boat would be lovely 😊

Welcome Amy. There are other lone parents here, some caring for a child (or children) with brain injury, and others caring alone for a child whilst struggling with their own BI issues. I hope you can connect with others in similar situations, but you're very welcome here regardless, so please feel free to tell us about the challenges faced by you and your son on a daily basis.

Regards, Cat x

I'm so sorry for the events that have happened Your doing an amazing job caring for your son Get out into toddler groups if you can even if he can't communicate well A lesson ive learned is just how brain injured people enjoy just looking even if they can't participate I hope you find other young Mum's on this site Do you get any help from social services towards caring for him ? Have a better day today x

Hi Amy, settle in, make yourself at home. Anything you need to know and somebody will soon be along to answer. It may even be myself, if I'm awake. :)

My very best wishes to yourself, your son and your family.

Oh Amy, I am so sorry for what you have been through and are still going through. My son has brain injury but is older than your little one. You seriously need some-one to talk to. If you have internet access have a look at what is available in your area, but you must get in touch with a help line especially as you are so vulnerable. You could perhaps ring Headways number and ask them for help.

Lots of love and hugs for you and your Son. Please keep in touch

love Jan xxx
