Sorry Heather, it's not something I'm familiar with, but Citizen's Advice are great in helping with such issues and will sit & go through the form with you.

Always best to make an appointment to save sitting in a queue.

Hope your son is doing ok.  Best wishes, Cat x

The thing is, they'll have it in front of them, and it's something they'll be very familiar with.  I've always found them a great bunch of people.  Good luck m'dear.  xx

Hi beck ham I suffered a SAH Jan 2016 but I am also a solicitor and professional deputy acting on behalf of clients who have lost mental capacity and can't make decisions in relation to their property and financial affairs so I am very familiar with tube court of protection

The form the office of the public guardian has asked up to complete is lengthy and complicated. It has recently been amended to asks lot more questions. The best advice I can give you is to answer each question as it comes honestly and truthfully and if in doubt either seek advice of your accountant or solicited. Alternatively ring the OPG's helpline who are very helpful. Good luck

Thank you so much, yes I think the thought is daunting but intend to go through it slowly!! Can you tell me what the difference is between court of protection and power of attorney please?

Hope you are making progress, best wishes to you
