I've just Googled it Mowgli and read a couple of reviews ; I'm going to have to read this book. Cathy Crimmins is a compelling writer, bursting with black humour and some outrageous turns of phrase.
Thank you for this alert ; I'm hoping I can get it on Kindle as it's the only way I can read these days owing to size of print.
And I hope others will take advantage of your recommendation ; this looks like a really special read ; a heart-rending story told in a very forthright way. xx
I haven't read it but plan to. I find opinions from the "non injured" help us in our recovery / life.
I remember watching "Recovery" with David Tennant, which is now on Youtube and thinking "wow" is that what the other half is going through. It gave me a huge kick up the backside.
Hi again Mowgli. Thought I'd come back to tell you I've just finished reading 'Mango Princess'............couldn't put it down !
Although Al's BI was traumatic whereas mine was acquired, it brought back so many memories of the uncertainty : the inappropropriate behaviour :learning to walk again etc., etc.
Thank you again for the recommendation ; it was a joyous/harrowing/fascinating read and written in a way which completely drew me in from page one. Inspiring too..........as it eventually transpired ! xx
Let me know what you think.. I found it amazing. But maybe that is due to the fact I am the wife of some one with a BI..... Anyhow.... It's most insightful x
