I did - and it left me quite motionally distressed because I related to so much of what was said and explained........

....so much so I couldn't even decide which topic heading to put this post under!

I'd like to clarify my first comment -

I got emotional only in that it was the fact that there WAS someone on television who was explaining to the UK as a whole. just what goes on, what happens with the different parts affected and why changes and responses can occur in people's brains.

A general explanation, it's not about BI sufferers who are not specifically mentioned,.

If you like it was a Human Biology lesson, which I hope families and friends of people with BI would have watched and started to understand why we changed! We know we here understand each other's situations, it just great to find outsiders knowing and acknowledging it publicly!

In the cold light of day, it's easier for me to be more rational and matter of fact about it!

Hi Sambs,

Just watched this on Iplayer - fascinating. So sad about the lack of development in the institutionalised children. I had no idea this was a series so will be watching part 1 later and doing my best to remember to watch next week's episode.

Many thanks for alerting me to it's existence !

This was the second of six programmes which is superb, no, better than superb, one of the best educational programmes ever.

It is pertinent to every human on the planet. It should be enforced viewing for everyone, especially young adults to get an insight into how we behave.

If you have not seen it. Get it on iPlayer:

The Brain with David Eagleman - BBC4 Thursdays, 9pm

Last nights episode was about you and your identity - how your brain assembles the neurons to create your unique personality.

Brilliant stuff.
