i went to my pharmacist about grapefruit while on statins.

when i was on simvastatin i was told no grapefruit what so ever, im now on atorvastatin ( my meds are blister packed ) and it says no more than 1 or 2 small glasses of grapefruit juice a day. Wow excellent i love grapefruit,

so i went to see my pharmacist she diappeared for about 20 mins. she said shed looked on the nhs web site which said no more than 1.2ltrs of grapefruit a day, so i asked if it was ok for me to have a grapefruit at the weekends and she said yes......happy days

It's awful isn't it how we crave something so much when we are told we cannot have it!! Enjoy you grapefruit!!

Much too acidic for me Steve. . . . . . . . but healthy stuff if you enjoy it. For me it's Elderflower, which has a tang, but doesn't cause any contortions of the face !
