Take them. Immediately.
Don't wait here to see where I'm going with this, just go buy them, and shove as many as you can into your body.

I thought you could only get omega 3? I take omega 3 on a regular basis when i remember anyway.
I've taken 220mg omega3 every day for 20 years. What strength are your Ben ? x
Focus on taking Omega 3 as we get too much Omega 6 in modern diet and there are unhealthy effects of having too much Omega 6. Your body can make Omega 9 and it's in olive oil so easy to get.
Since you mentioned supplements, I take Methylocobalamin B12 under the tongue several times a day. It is an anti oxidant that travels through the facial nerve directly to your brain, and helps clear out all of the poisons that accumulate, around your still living your brain cells, after an injury. Since I've been taking it, I sleep much more regularly, and feel more cognitively together.
Ben, do they make a single supplement that contains all three Omega's?
I take at least 900mg of omega 3 everyday and have done for the past year. Omega 3 is anti-inflammatory and it's also thought to have anti-depressant like properties. If you've had a brain injury, it's likely you have some inflammation in the brain as a consequence. Aside from dead brain, this inflammation is thought to be a cause of ongoing neurological sequalae. It's likely that after brain injury you require more nutrients than the standard required for a normal healthy person. Nobody knows how much more one should consume in one's diet however, but there's no harm in trying taking slightly more omega 3 and seeing if you notice further improvement, since your body can remove or store any excess and there's little risk of over-dosing on a food supplement.
Most of us on a western diet consume too much omega 6 and 9 which are found in vegetable oils and not enough omega 3 which are found in fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines as well as eggs and nuts. If you already eat food coated in vegetable oil, you likely don't need to consume omega 6 and 9 supplements. Rather, you should try to balance the excess omega 6 an 9 by taking high doses of omega 3.
I'd be interested to know if taking just the omega 3 has the same effect as taking it in addition to omegas 6 and 9?
