The Baron and the Baroness-to be having a fantastic day! Aerosmith, Thunder, Richie Sambora. Thank the Lord for Nurofen! The only thing louder was my shirt.
Wonderful day, never stopped singing and dancing. My head is now killing me, but hey ho, it was worth it and I'll do it again one day!

WEREN'T THEY BRILLIANT! I'VE SEEN THEM MANY TIMES BUT THEY LOOKED ON TOP FORM AT GLASTO. WISH THERE'D BEEN A HEADLINER LIKE THAT THE YEAR I WENT TO GLASTO (ONE OF THE SUPER MUDDY ONES) IT WAS A PRETTY MISERABLE FESTIVAL.
I am soooooh jealous because since my B.H. I can't stand any loud noises.
When I hear loud noises I go into cry mode, whether I want to to or not. it's a right royal pain in the bum
So sorry to hear that, no pun intended. Post BI it took me years to adjust to noise, thought my gigging days were long gone. Thankfully, I eventually adjusted and now it doesn't bother me at all, as long as I have my trusty Nurofen to hand!
Earplugs might help...you can get orchestra plugs that filter out the loud background noise but allow you to hear conversation...Life would be unbearably loud without earplugs...
Oh yes, I completely understand. Would have loved to see Aerosmith again, but just the once will have to do! Apart from anything else, I've slept almost permanently since we got home
Get yourself to one of the Thunder shows, we'll see you there!
Us brain cripples must stick together after all
YOU LUCKY, LUCKY THINGS! WHERE WAS THIS?
HOW MISS FESTIVALS. I SAW AEROSMITH AT DONINGTON IN 1994 WHILST IT WAS STILL MONSTERS OF ROCK & AGAIN AT WEMBLY ARENA A FEW YEARS LATER. HOW JOE & STEVEN ARE STILL ALIVE IS BEYOND ME!
JUST NOTICED YOU'VE ALREADY SAID WHERE IT WAS, SORRY.THE BEST METAL FESTIVALS I EVER WENT TO WERE IN HOLLAND, DYNAMO & WALDROCK. EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM WAS MAJIC. SO P**D OFF I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE BUT WILL ALWAYS LVE THE MUSIC.
I hate to rub it in, but Aerosmith were breathtaking! 66 years old and still, frankly superb. I've been a huge fan since 'Pump' but never seen them live. It was a phenomenal day and the fact that my favourite band (Thunder) were playing was simply a massive bonus. It was my ninth Thunder gig and every time they just get better.
Loved it, one of our best days ever, a memory to treasure
LIVING ON THE EDGE IS THE PERFECT SONG TITLE FOR US! THEY WERE HEADLINING DONINGTON & IT WAS THE LAST SONG IN THEIR SET . THEY FINISHED THE SET WITH A MASSIVE FIREWORKS DISPLAY DURING THE END OF THE SONG. STILL MAKES ME TINGLE TO THINK ABOUT IT & IT WAS 1994.
SAW THUNDER SUPPORTING BON JOVI AT WEMBLEY IN MID NINETIES I THINK IT WAS. . NEITHER ARE REALLY MY THING BUT THEY WERE BOTH AWESOME. JON BON JOVI CAME ON STAGE & JUST STOOD ON THERE DOING NOTHING
FOR A FEW MINUTES & THE CROWD WENT WILD. WHAT A FRONTMAN. SAMMY HAGAR'S BAND ( BI CAN'T REMEMBER THEIR NAME BUT I KNOW THEY'RE MASSIVE). PLAYED IN BETWEEN THEM BUT THEY WERE REALLY AWFUL. WE DIDN'T NEEDTHEM AT ALL!
DON'T WORRY I DON'T HATE YOU FOR BEING ABLE TO GO, I'M REALLY GLAD YOU HAD SUCH A FANTASTIC TIME. STILL REALLY JEALOUS THOUGH!
Never seen Bon Jovi, though the Baroness went to the Etihad in Manchester last year to see them, one of her favourites.
I know you don't hate me, I think we of the brain injured/damaged persuasion understand that each 'patient' has their own set of limitations to overcome. I wish you were able to enjoy days like that, truly I do.
1994, you were rocking at Donington, I was working in East Germany, just about to have the accident that changed my own life
Livin' on the edge, you can't help yourself from fallllllllllllllllling...
POOR YOU. THERE WAS I HEADBANGING (ALMOST) MY WAY THROUGH MY FIRST FESTIVAL WHILST YOU WERE HAVING THE WORST TIME OF YOUR LIFE. I WAS AT HOME ON THE SOFA WHEN MY BRAIN ERUPTED BUT I WENT OUT ANYWAY. DISASTER.
I HAVE SO MANY FANTASTIC MEMORIES OF THE FESTIVALS & GIGS I WENT TO & I'M SO GLAD I DID IT WHEN I DID, WOULDN'T HAVE MISSED ANY OF IT FOR THE WORLD. I SHALL DINE OUT ON THEM FOR MANY YEARS TO COME.
YOU NEED TO TAKE IT REALLY EASY NOW. NO ROCKING AROUND THE HOUSE, STRICTLY LISTENING TO CDs ON THE SETTEE!
Oh, believe me, it's back to normal now, rest and relaxation only. It was a looong day, but worth it!
I had a few post injury years of being terrified of noise. The thought of 'loud' was like a dagger in my temples. Gradually though, that subsided and I'm able to appreciate the joy of gigging again. And fortunately, I've met a lady who understands entirely how I feel. That alone is huge.
