I have just received a letter from the DWP saying that I am now in the ESA and I will be getting £108.15 a week
you could not make this up , one letter saying I am in the WRAG then one saying I am in the ESA, does not say any thing about being back dated to October 2013 though.

it says from the 6th of may? I am seeing headway on Friday to see what to do next.
It would seem that the DWP have decided your health worsened from that date to qualify for the support group which seem odd
It might be that a cautious letter should be sent to the DWP asking how they arrived at that date I say cautious because you don't want to make the letter sound like a request for a reconsideration yet WAIT till you have seen Headway and get their opinion as I have been outside of active advice work for a few years now good luck
PS
I see you are in S Yorks there are lots of advice centres in the area from Thorne in the East to Woodseats (Sheffield) in the west and Woodhouse in the South to Barnsley in the North no disrespect to Headway' who do a grand job but a second opinion might be useful.
they have told my support worker they have been paying me that is not what it says on my bank statement.
They know I can't work but they insist I do work focus based interviews every six months. They recently agreed a telephone interview then sanctioned me for not attending the job centre. It sounded like a child who was speaking to me on the phone or a school leaver with no idea. After working all my life I am sickened and ashamed to be a part of this country now. All they care about is making people work to get their taxes in. Good luck to you, hope your situation works out ok. Regards.
Hia Guys, and girls, my support worker is from the British Red Cross and she arrived via my social worker ( i think that's how it all fell into place) i would be lost without her.
She has never worked with a TBI person and i have never needed a support worker before so we are both learning, Good Luck and Best Wishes
