Can't remember bus journey

Went on bus today left home got to destination can't remember getting on bus or journey

This is every day stuff for me.. assuming this may be the first time it has happened to you? Is it raising specific concerns/do you have questions we might help with?

Its not the first time this or similar has occurred

I am now questioning things after reading headway literature

Bear in mind that it took 50 years to be told I had had a life threatening brain injury when I was a lot younger and that was purely by chance my Gp was thoroughly reviewing my medical records. I went through hell and back without any support at all for all these years I am surprised I never had a knock on the door to be put in the asylum

Bless you I'm afraid I had no idea of your history - I have zero short term memory and am often surprised to read my own replies on here. LOL I can only imagine you must have similar memory issues to be completely unaware of sustaining a life threatening brain injury...I get that you may not remember it, especially if it happened as a child, but I can't comprehend how it would be possible for fifty years to pass without anyone ever mentioning it - my family still talk about all of our childhood injuries, including the non life threatening ones - or for something so serious to not be noted clearly in medical files....my doctor knows my entire medical history better than I.

If you have been struggling with the effects of a brain injury for all these years with no help or understanding it must have been totally horrendous...and while it must also be a relief to know there is an explanation for your experiences and feelings I am sure it is tinged with other emotional stuff too.

While you may not recall the details of the journey, at least you got where you were going ... in my experience, T

Hi all I can remember is coming out of a coma, having a lumbar puncture, coming home told to rest for x weeks then being sent back to school according to my medical records I was never taken to out patients etc.

Why I haven't a clue people who could tell me have now passed on
