When life gives you lemons...

Don't make lemonade. Burn them. Lemons are hard to peel, taste awful, and even if you make them into lemonade, you need to dump loads of sugar in it to make it taste good.

When you get a random raw deal in your life, whether it be having a stroke, acquiring a disability, or suffering some other tragedy, you have every right to take something back. My epilepsy is getting a bit out of control, the sheer amount of pills I'm on hasn't been working, I've been scared of it, and that's ok, but that does not mean it has to rule my life. We should learn to get from the day, rather than just get through the day.

In practice, this is tough, but what is there to lose? I'd rather risk having a seizure/brain haemorrhage sat out in the sunshine than huddle in my bed scared of it.

Get yourself some peaches, they're delicious. If life doesn't want to give up it's peaches, take them. Take it all back.

Good morning B_S_A and cat3.

B_S_A your words are so eloquent, you have such a great attitude to life. I read your posts out to my husband and Im sure it helps. Sometimes it makes him cry (he does that all the time) but mostly it gives him something to think about. And that's good.

Keep it up!

Best wishes, Molly x

Hi ben I read your posts to my son who is similar age to you and i think it really gives him an empathy because of that. If by writing you can make even one person more aware of 'life outside the box' it is worth doing!. x

It's a lonely situation to be in, this is a great place for people to realise that other people go through this stuff.

There's still a world out there.
