Please help re closure of Neuro rehab unit in Bath

Dear Friends,

I just created the petition "Save the excellent and irreplaceable neurological rehabilitation service at Bath's RNHRD" and wanted to ask if you could add your names too.

From my own experience and from feedback I have received from friends and family regarding my treatment at other NHS establishments, following the accident which led to my brain injury, THERE ARE NO EQUIVALENT SERVICES OFFERING COMPARABLE STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE !!!!!!!!!

Its coming up to a year since the accident and there is absolutely no specialist support locally and "Social Services" aren't even providing funding to enable me to go to local Headway meetings .

In this highly specialised area of medicine, where there already exists a huge shortfall in service provision, the closure of this fabulous unit is appalling and truly heartbreaking

If specialist units are closed then this will put pressure on the units still open, forcing them to increase their knowledge base into areas that the unit wasn't set up to include, take on new patients, more workload, the list is endless.
