Japan gluten free???

I recently went to Japan, and found no gluten free goodness over there......i have tried to find online sources but seems minimal.

does anyone know anything about gluten free food in japan? even a small bit.

i would be grateful as i want to work over there next year!

I have nothing helpful to offer, but I went in 2006 and also found it very difficult.

I have travelled on business to Japan and certainly the main hotels are familiar with gluten free. Not very exciting offers but at least you are safe. Certainly Google gluten free Japan - there's lots of experience there.
