If you are out and about this summer, or lucky enough to go overseas on holiday, review the places you visited here.
I've taken to doing this, then sending a thank-you email and the weblink to the coeliac map. In time, if we all do this, it will make our eating out experiences better. It only takes 5 minutes but raises so much awareness, and we are guerillas right?
Living in an area that relies on tourism for most of it's economy I'm quite shocked how little gluten free dining there is around.
Just back from Czech Republic I took a copy of the restaurant card and had no problems, lots of choices in the health shops in fact more in the local supermarkets than in uk
This is great sassyl. Thank you! I have added a couple of places where I've had good gluten free meals. I wish I had some way of accessing the map when I'm away from home. No Iphone, but maybe I can find wi fi hot spots and us my ipod touch.
Lets hope word gets around and everyone adds to this to make it the best GF finder in the world.
Phil I believe there is an android app of coeliac map and you can also access it from any web browser.
Well done for posting this Sassyl as I think places like this deserve promoting and I add places mostly cafe's and if we all did then it would make it easier for other coeliac.
I think it would be worth checking especially with pubs that they are still in existence.
Hi I've just returned from Austria and they were amazing. Within 2 hours of checking in at the hotel they had sorted all of my food completely even getting me bread from the local bakers. Everyone was so helpful, even cafe up mountains!
