Strawberries grown on wheat straw do not eat...?

they are grow in fields here in uk dont suffer when i have ours though x

I think its a bit extreme as the gluten is contained in the wheat seed head which tends to be removed in straw. Even then the seed head would have to be crushed.

Anyway, washing them (which you should do to remove any pesticides) would remove any cross-contamination.

Yes I agree all of these type of stories alarm coeliacs. It'd be hard to get true cross contamination. I'd be more worried about the pesticides on them!
