Also will my belly appear to look slimmer if I cut wheat out completely. Early stages as I have eliminated wheat for 4 days, that's amazing to me!!

Look forward to your replies and advice.

Hi eyesopen, I to am struggling with the breakfasts on a wheat free diet BUT since I have given up wheat (as much as I can.) I no longer look ten months pregnant. Keep it up.

Do you have problems with gluten or just wheat?

Go for something other than cereal. Most breakfast cereals are loaded with sugar, not good for your health. Try a protein start to the day - eggs, bacon, or plain yoghurt with your own added fruit and nuts. If you have to have cereal try porridge or quinoa. Some people go for rice flakes or buckwheat flakes, check your supermarket 'free from' section.

I quite like rice pudding with some stewed fruit in. I make up a large one and get about 4 days from it...you can also use tinned rice pud if you're stuck for time

I have rice cakes for breakfast. You can have nutella on them or jam or marmalade, be careful with jam and marmalade, as a lot contain glucose fructose syrup

Whoa! MASSIVE sugar rush. You really need some protein for breakfast to balance your blood sugar and maintain energy through the morning. Add some nut butter with the jam, or have a boiled egg on the side ... some cheese .. whatever: not just carbs and sugar!

Whole earth cornflakes are good and have no malt extract. I also make my own granola, all my family love this.

My new favourite breakfast is Sainsbury's Free From Buckwheat and Rice Porridge. I make it with semi-skimmed milk, sweeten it with honey and add fresh, dried fruit or stewed fruit e.g. banana, raspberries, apple, plums, raisins. Sometimes I sprinkle it with ground flax seeds, which gives it a nice nutty flavour.

I have alara museli, they have quite a few products and porridge too. I bulk buy off Amazon as they are not available in my local health food shop but are very filling!

Best Cereal Ever, and award winner is Dove Farm - Buckwheat Cereal Flakes. It's filling, I always take it on day out incase i cant get food and have another bowl of.

Tesco stopped doing it, but Sainsburys and Asda still do it- It's not thin and bitty either , lovely !!

Cereal my 3 year old coeliac daughter loves (and I do too!) is Nature's Path Maple Sunrise. Very tasty and makes you feel like you're not missing out!
