The manufacturers make no claims that the beer is gluten free. It’s made from barley.
You may find information on the Internet saying that it has been tested as having less than 20 ppm of gluten – therefore it can be considered as gluten-free. Why would you risk it though? Ask yourself who did the tests? And are they accurate? Surely having good health is more important?
Personally I don’t touch anything made from wheat barley or rye. I’m a Coeliac - it’s been proven to my satisfaction that my immune system cannot cope when I ingest these substances, so I choose not to risk it.
NO - even beers labelled as gluten free are not safe if they were made from barley (or wheat or rye) - they have had most of the gluten chemically removed after brewing. I was advised by a doctor friend not to go near them.
I never accept advice from friends, even if they are coeliac! I look at the ingredients for myself every time.
Message from a friend “for scanning barcodes we use the Coeliac UK app. For eating out I use Eat Safe which tells you how many gluten free foods a restaurant offers xx”
You can buy gluten free corona, in most big supermarkets, normal corona is not gluten free, and don't try it,
