So for a few years i been suffering with the most horrendous stomach pains, constipation and stomach bloating i was diagnosed with severe ibs. Im starting to woder if i do actually coeliacs disease. Can anyone shed any light in this.
Iv noticed if i eat bread and pasta its generally worse. The pain right now is horrendous right in the pit of my tummy

Sounds like i would be worthwhile to speak to doctor about testing obviously things are all up in the air just now and may be a while before that happens. I would try eating gluten free and see if there is difference
Perhaps have a look at the Low Fodmaps diet, it is recommended for IBS sufferers, although it doesn’t work for everyone. It’s an elimination diet, followed by reintroducing foods slowly to work out what you can tolerate.
You could have coeliac or you could have a wheat allergy or something entirely different, the only way of finding out is to be tested, I would not recommend you go gluten free before you are tested because you will not get an accurate result if you do. I think you might have to wait till this coronavirus thing is over. good luck keep safe.
Did your doctor/GP mention coeliac when they gave you the IBS diagnosis? Was it explored as a possible diagnosis/concern?
