Basic question re symptoms

When do your symptoms appear after you’ve been glutened? Immediately? Within a few hours? Next day? I’m feeling rotten after a cheating apple crumble and custard (I took lactase because I’m dairy intolerant too) and symptoms cam3 in a rush of dizziness and diarrhoea (sorry!) 24 hours later ... ??!! Does anyone else cheat? I’m not formally diagnosed so occasionally I tell myself it’s ok.

Everyone is different, you have to figure out for yourself what your timeframe is. I've met some who know within 15 mins, my partner is 5 hours, others are 12 hours +.

It's best to avoid cheating though - if you are coeliac, the main symptoms might pass in a day or two, but the damage to your gut lining will last for months.

Symptoms appear within 30 mins for me, and takes up to 3 hours for full range of symptoms to take hold. Can take probably around 3 days for full symptoms to subside, but can take up to a week.

For me, it really depends on how much I’ve ingested. But typically it can start immediately to a day or two later. The worst bout I ever had began two days after and it lasted almost a week. It’s just very individualized I think. I was diagnosed almost three years ago and I’m still trying to figure things out.

Mine start quite quickly and biuld! No, I wouldn't cheat, as it takes 3 or 4 days to feel better.
