Mistake!

Hi,I've done the worst mistake without realising till later 🤦🏻‍♀️...there was a group of us and the ice cream van came. All the girls / ladies wanted something so I asked for a simple cone with ice cream planning on eating only the ice cream...because I can't eat the cone obviously. They came back with an Icecream so I thought OK I'll just have the ice cream part. I had it and was chatting and chatting then realised I'd eaten the come of the ice cream!!! I've no idea what to expect now. It only just happened 15 minutes ago and I thought only those here will understand and give advice 😞😣

Oh no! I've heard activated charcoal can help, if you can get your hands on some?

Most ice cream vans offer tubs, you could ask for one of those next time, and it would reduce your cross contamination risk too.

I'm never having an ice cream again I've made a promise to myself. I started to feel shattered...Sleepy thirsty...dunno what to to expect. Thanks for replying Cooper27

Don't panic 😬 Worrying will only make it worse.

Try to drink lots of water and rest if you can.

I was making flapjack only yesterday for my family and was so tempted by all the luscious oaty crumbs as I was cutting the bake up into portions. I very nearly popped some into my mouth. I don't do very well with gf oats and these were regular ones so it could have been very bad for me. I'm the only one in my family who has to be careful about what I eat. It's not fair or easy and I totally understand how easily you could have done it. Don't beat yourself up about it.

Just learn from it and remember to always have a tub next time. Even if you didn't eat the cone, there would probably be crumbs of it in the ice cream.
