At Christmas I often make a gluten free mince crumble and have been using coconut oil and you need less or you end up with a dough and I like that as its rolls well. There's lots of mincemeat in it too and I had it with some Swedish Glace vegan gf ice cream which's delicious.
I feel that my choices have improved greatly since the rise in interest in all things plant based as lots of vegan foods are also gluten free.

Thanks Penny and it would work with butter, its a basic crumble mix of half fat to flour and half sugar to fat eg 100g flour/ground nuts 50g fat 25g sugar. Coconut oil makes it like a dough rather than breadcrumbs I like both. π
