I went to the gluten free show today and it was great. I found lots of new items to try. And lots of people to talk to who understood my problem. One thing was so good is at lunch time...when at the cafe we knew I could have ANYTHING Coz it was a gluten free show!I bought things from Warburton tesco and other brands I'd never even heard of

Gluten free show
Hey great, i buy things from tescos and M&S, even asda do a good range, warburtons newdale bakery have just brought out a wrap out of beetroot...thats quite nice too, i still have to be careful wirh sweet things though as i am soya free too and that gets shoved in everything. Im glad you are finding things easier now.😊
Here we could try things out before buying which is really good. I saw doughnuts and thought omg I have to have one of them lol.
You know what sid, the only thing i really miss being celiac is a guey sugary donut....i found a gf donut mix from asda but it had soya in it!! So angry, hey are you in uk or abroad? What is this donut?
That's the doughnut I had! Lol. I'm in the UK.I used to buy the ready sweet doughnuts from asda but after starting this diet I had to stop.
Was it the Liverpool Allergy Show? I went and tried the donuts and they were awful! they were soaked in oil and claggy as anything. I Was so disappointed. I tried some at Olympia this year from Willow Cottage and they were gorgeous! I buy my mix from them now - No soya in them either!!
Charlie
Yes Charliebear68 well it goes to show we all have very different taste in food don't we! I loved them!
Absolutely but at least we have a choice - finally!! Hope you enjoyed the show, I can't wait for next years!
I'm thinking the exact same thing- can't wait for next year's lol
It dint look like a normal doughnut I have to say and tasted alot different but was very nice
Great, i think the uk has a good selection in supermarkets now, try out marks and spencers too they do nice scotch eggs too and yummy cake. I long for a donut without soya!! I may try and find a recipe for one.😊
I really like the M&S Made Without Wheat. Scotch eggs and pork pies are a real treat when they are in stock. I also enjoy the quiches, breaded fish and breaded chicken. The bread is good too.
😊yes M&S do a good range, a little more pennies for their items but their scotch eggs for 2 large ones £1.50 not too bad, i love their victoria sponge and lemon drizzle cake...give it a go if you have not!😊 for bread i tend to stick with Genius as i find its texture better, i have not tried the pork pie i will have to give it a whirl.
Is this the first time you've been to one or have u been before? I've been to the one last year in Liverpool too but I found that one much much better. More stalls n much more things to try this one seemed smaller
